Matt joined us in November 2020 and sits on the design team as Process Design Engineer. He is currently studying for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Chemical Engineering and brings a wealth of knowledge into the business from his time at Refresco, expanding the capabilities of the design team.
In 2023 Matt was promoted to Senior Process Design Engineer, a move that reflects his dedication to Sycamore and our customers, Matt will still be responsible for specifying the most suitable processing equipment and designing end-to-end process solutions to meet and exceed customer requirements.

Completion of my first project.
What attracted you to want to work at Sycamore?
Sycamore are growing and aim to be the “go to” processing specialists. I look forward to growing with the company.
What is a typical day at Sycamore like?
P&ID construction, design reviews, plant compliance assurance and general process technical support.
What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Puddle splashing walks with my daughter Lily and partner Claire.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I used to have dreadlocks down past shoulder length!

Terry Pratchett Discworld series of books.
Best concert you ever attended?
Glastonbury Festival 2005. A true mudfest!
