Joining Sycamore in 2019 with a background in the delivery of construction projects, Harriet works alongside our Project Engineers, supporting them with their tasks and ensuring conformity.

What do you do at Sycamore?

My role is to support the product engineering team and be the eyes and ears in the office when engineers are on site. At the start of a project I will put together a project plan that the wider project team will sign up and work to, I will review and keep it updated throughout the life of the project. 

What does the future hold? 

It is a new industry for me (I worked for a fabrication company before), so I am learning the industry. I hope once I know more, I can begin to work closer to the projects and have more ownership. The Company recognises career progression and helps you grow so I am excited to take on more.

What has been your favourite project so far?

I managed a small project where we installed a sampling system for a milk producer. The system allows the company to take a sample every 24 hours to test the milk. It was a small project but great to be able to manage it end-to-end.

What is the best bit about working at Sycamore?

It is an easy place to work, there is always somebody to go to for help and it’s a calm environment, not much drama and it’s nice to be in an office where everyone gets on. I feel like this company is growing successfully at the right pace with the right tools and people in place to support the growth.
